Help Desk Support/Technical Support Specialist

IT Consultant

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team.  This is a key position that involves a significant amount of on-site visits to client sites and communication with client business owners, employees and managers.  The duties of this position involve, but are not limited to:
. On-site visits: to resolve problems that require you to be physically present at the client location.  The problems could involve anything related to the client network.
. Help desk support: when not out on the field, you will be resolving issues remotely from the office.
. Network setups:  setting up client networks, ensuring that servers are correctly setup and that the client computers and network devices are correctly configured to use the new network. 
. Consulting: Identifying, evaluating and implementing solutions to new projects/requirements that clients might have.

This position will involve work on many different networks and systems, although the majority of our client networks are Microsoft environments.  Any person in this position must be ready to troubleshoot issues that arise in a professional and logical manner, and follow-up with clients as needed.

Requirements:
. At least 6 months of experience working in an IT consulting position.
. A B.S. degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. 
. Good communication skills.

Preferences:
. IT certifications, preferably Microsoft or Cisco.
. Ability to learn new concepts quickly as well as ask for help when necessary.
. Experience with Windows XP and Windows Server 2000/2003.
. Experience with DNS, DHCP, WINS.
. Good troubleshooting skills. 
. Experience with backup software and hardware.
. General programming knowledge.
. General database maintenance knowledge.

Sales Rep


We are an IT company that is growing fast and would like to hire a new member to our team! If you are an experienced sales representative and are serious about what you do, we would love to speak with you! IT experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to maximize client relationships, ability to communicate both verbally as well as written and excellent follow-through skills are a must! This is a part-time position that could grow into a full-time position.

Help Desk Support/Technical Support Specialist


Help Desk Support/Technical Support Specialist works in partnership with
clients to provide support on all of their company supported
applications. Troubleshoots computer problems, determines source, and
advises client on appropriate actions needed, completes project-based
work. This position is also responsible for partnering with clients to
install, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware and software; prepares
documentation and performs related work as required.
Tasks
* Answers client questions via phone regarding all client
supported applications in addition to providing onsite support solutions
for clients relating to various IT needs
* Determines source of computer problems (hardware, software, user
access, etc.)
* Advises client of appropriate actions and steps that need to be
taken
* Serves as a liaison between the clients and the IT Consultants
to resolve issues
* Documents client resolutions for future reference via the Case
Management system
* Ensures client network documentation is completed
* Resolves "open cases" by troubleshooting client's computer
problems
* Follows-up and resolves issues with backup logs, server alerts
and server reports
* Performs hardware and software installations
* Generates monthly server reports for clients
* Performs various maintenance tasks including mailers
* Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Job Requirements
* Pursuing BS Degree in Computer Science; or, graduate from an
accredited junior college with relevant work experience; or, High School
diploma with three to five years of IT experience
* IT certifications, preferably Microsoft or Cisco
* Experience with Windows XP and Windows Server 2000/2003 and
familiar with server editions
* Experience with DNS, DHCP and WINS
* Familiar with Active Directory and Exchange
* Advanced knowledge of client supported applications
* Excellent ability to troubleshoot
* Experience with backup software and hardware
* General programming knowledge and database maintenance knowledge
* Ability to learn and support new applications and asks for
assistance when needed
* Excellent ability to develop, maintain and maximize strong
client relationships through strong interpersonal skills
* Strong telephone presence
* Verbal and written communication is clear and concise
* Ability to communicate with all levels of management both
internally and externally
* Excellent ability to multi-task and follow through with clients
* Is prompt to client meetings as needed
* Demonstrates flexibility and can adapt to change in direction
* High level of personal integrity, maintains confidentiality and
assures discreet handling of all business information
* Ability to work using the phone and computer for a long period
of time
* Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
